Discord Servers:

There are two Discord Servers in use for DarkVeilTarot.com (DVT)

The first server is for online bookings and appointments, this is known as the DVT Appointments Server.

The second, is a community server which hosts resources and communities, this is known as the DVT Community Server.

Dark Veil Tarot Appointments Server:

The Dark Veil Tarot Appointments Server is the preferred platform for conducting private bookings appointments and client communications at DVT. Appointments can also be carried out via Skype or Zoom if a client prefers not to use Discord, however installing the Discord app for use of the DVT Discord servers comes with many extra benefits for DVT clients.

Discord provides a reliable and secure platform for private voice, video or text chat for DVT online services & bookings. Clients can choose if they want to be on video, voice or text chat while receiving their private live readings or guidance appointments from DVT https://discord.com

The discord app is free and available for IOS, android & desktop https://discord.com/download

All that's needed to use Discord for online DVT appointments is the Discord app downloaded onto a phone or PC. An account created on the app which is verified with an email address and an invite link which will be provided by email before your appointment.

For clients with existing Discord accounts, a profile nickname can be self-assigned in both DVT servers to replace your usual profile name.

The DVT Discord community server offers free self-help resources and provides clients the option to join the free DVT discord chat community, as well as exclusive client community spaces which are only available to active DVT clients.

Accessing and joining the DVT Community Server is a slightly different process to accessing the appointments server. Community server access information can be found further down this page.

Accessing the DVT Appointments Discord server for online bookings appointments:

Download the discord app and create an account https://discord.com/download
Click on the invitation link provided via email on the same device as the Discord app is downloaded on, this will take you straight to the DVT appointments server. (The community server link is different to the appointments server link)
Click on the "bookings / appointments" category and then "waiting room" to enter the chat
Announce your arrival in the waiting room chat with a greeting like "hello, I have a 3pm appointment" and you'll be provided access to the video chat just before your appointment time begins
Once the video chat becomes visible, click on the VC & turn on your camera and microphone when you’re ready in order to verify that you are over 18. After age verification, you can then switch off your camera &/or mic for the remainder of appointment and use the alternative text chat function, if you prefer.

Please note: If you look under 25, please have a legally valid form of photographic ID ready to hand for age verification. Failure to immediately provide ID upon request, may result in a loss of appointment time without refund. Failure to produce any form of photo ID will result in an immediate cancelation of the appointment, without refund.

Dark Veil Tarot Community Server:

Also hosted on the DVT community server, is a free discord community aimed at supporting members who are using the free resources for self-improvement, personal growth or emotional healing purposes. Entry to this community is completely free and available to anyone who is age verified to be over 18. Please check the age verification protocol for DVT community access further down the page.

Alongside the free community on the DVT Discord community server are dedicated client community spaces, exclusively for the use of active DVT clients. These client communities are accessed by purchasing any service from www.DarkVeilTarot.com - The client communities are private and each have a focus on spiritual growth and development, alongside personal improvement. The client community is where the spiritual aspects of personal growth are included and discussed as part of our journeys. The free DVT community does not contain any spiritual chat areas and is free of any spiritual healing or growth aspects. This is in order for the free community to be welcoming to everyone who is joining for personal growth or mental health improvement, regardless of spiritual beliefs.

Each of these community spaces are geared towards providing non judgmental, safe and welcoming spaces for the encouragement and support on the personal growth and self-improvement journeys of the community members - by the community members themselves, who are guided by the self directed use of scientifically proven and peer reviewed mental health improvement methods and tools, based in cognitive behavioural therapy practices.

The ethos behind the creation of the Dark Veil Tarot community server is one of kindness, respect and the encouragement of positivity and gratitude in daily life, without succumbing to the pitfalls of the echo chambering, which can often occur within small online communities, resulting in the eventual formation of a toxic positivity culture. The encouragement for members to openly discuss their negative emotions, thoughts and behaviours without judgement, is an essential part of the DVT communities. Negativity and darkness are an integral part of the human experience, it is something we must accept, process and integrate rather than ignore, hide or bury. This is in order for us to become more balanced, mentally healthy and happy individuals.

There is a strong overall focus for the whole DVT community server to be a place for encouragement and support provided by fellow community members, who are each at different stages of their respective self-improvement and growth journeys. Although these online community areas rely entirely on being built by member contributions, the spaces are professionally moderated. A strict moderator code of conduct and protocols are implemented for DVT server moderators and administrators to follow. This is in order to closely monitor and perpetuate a healthy community culture and to keep these spaces as safe and free from nuisance or predatory people and behaviours, as possible.

The exclusive client spaces contain additional resources and support from Eph, as well as extra features which are unavailable in the open community area. The client only areas include spiritually related chat topics, open forums for members to create posts and share media as well as video/voice chat areas which client community members can use for support or socialising.

Anyone who purchases a service from DarkVeilTarot.com, has the opportunity to access the client community space for three months after purchasing an appointment.

For spiritual service clients there is access to dedicated, closed community areas specific to each specific type of spiritual service for members to discuss their progress, share experiences and to receive and provide support amongst fellow travellers, as well as being able to seek advice directly from Eph. For the confidentiality and comfort for clients to speak wholly and freely regarding their spiritual experiences, the spiritual services areas are moderated by Eph only. Access to respective spiritual services client areas, are available for three months after purchasing a spiritual services appointment.

DVT Community Access:

Upon arrival at the server, the safety, rules and guidelines must be accepted in order to access the resources & the community entry area.

If you fully agree to the terms and to uphold the guidelines, rules and intended culture of the Dark Veil Tarot Discord Community Server, then please begin the community entry process, described below.

Please note: Dark Veil Tarot (DVT) spiritual services and access to the DVT servers are strictly for persons over the age of 18 only. In order to access any of the DVT discord communities, potential members must be age verified as being over 18. Potential members will be required to show their face on a private Discord video call with an approved DVT server administrator. This video call is usually under a minute, if the applicant looks over 18.

For those who look younger than 25, please prepare a form of legally valid photographic ID to show on camera. Please cover any location identifying info such as name & address on a driving license etc. Ensure that the date of birth and photo on the ID are clearly visible.

The age verification protocol and entry into the server:

After arriving at the server and accepting the server terms, go through the server onboarding process and then comment in the #ENTER-DVT-COMMUNITY chat within the >WELCOME category, or comment in the specific client community you are joining as part of a purchased spiritual guidance service.

When an administrator is available for Age ID calls (within 48h), the “>18+ AGE VERIFICATION” category will become visible. The admin will @reply to your comment (turn app notifications on) with an indication of how long the area will remain open for. Comment in the #AGE-VERIFICATION-CHAT when you have your ID prepared to join the call.

During the age verification call:

Please ensure your face is appropriately lit and fully visible for the duration of the video call.

If you look younger than 25, please have a pre-prepared form of legally valid photo ID ready to show on camera with your face. Please cover any personally identifying info such as an address on a driving license etc. ensure the date of birth and photo on the ID is clearly visible.
Once you can see the video chat in the “>18+ AGE VERIFICATION” category, click on it to enter the video call and turn on your mic and camera. Say hello to the moderator, they're only checking that you look and sound over 18. If asked, please hold up your ID so that it is clearly visible on screen.

That's it. The moderator will allow access to the community area, if you are over 18. Welcome to the DVT community server!

The Dark Veil Tarot community server provides a list of free Cognitive Behavioural Therapy based self-help and UK mental health resources. This is available to anyone with an email verified discord account over 10 minutes old and after accepting the server terms, rules and safety guidelines upon server entry.
